Xiaomi to Release New Tablets with Snapdragon 8 Gen3 Processor

Recently, Xiaomi has been attracting a lot of attention with the introduction of new products. However, apart from their smartphones and cars, there seems to be a lack of information regarding their tablet product line. Therefore, the rumors surrounding the Xiaomi Pad 7 series have been eagerly anticipated.

According to insider sources, Xiaomi is not only developing an OLED version equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor but also an LCD version. Both of these new tablets will feature large screens. Although the leaker did not specify which tablet it was, they ended with the hashtag #xiaomipad7#, hinting at the Xiaomi Pad 7 series.

Previously, on a foreign tech forum, information from a code repository revealed that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro has started testing. The internal codename for this new product is “sheng,” with the model number N81A. However, despite this information being widely cited, the accuracy of details such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip and a 10-inch screen remains to be validated.

It’s worth noting that the recently released Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro also has its highlights. This product made its debut on February 22nd with a starting price of 3299 yuan. It comes with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform and features a 12.4-inch 3K ultra-clear display. Additionally, it supports 120W fast charging and Wi-Fi 7 high-speed connectivity. Running on Xiaomi’s MIUI OS, it supports cross-device smart connection functions and can be used as a car screen or home control center screen.

Based on these developments, it’s unlikely that Xiaomi’s upcoming large-sized tablets will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip. Considering the significance of the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, it’s expected that at least the Pro version will feature the updated Snapdragon 8 Gen3 mobile platform.
