On the evening of the 23rd, Apple announced a special event titled “Let Loose,” scheduled to take place on May 7th at 10 p.m. Beijing time (7 a.m. local time on May 7th).

Judging from the poster, the event is expected to focus on the new generation of iPad hardware and accessories, such as the long-awaited iPad Pro and Apple Pencil.

Traditionally, Apple usually holds its spring special event at the end of March or early April. However, this year, the announcement comes later in May than usual.

According to previous leaks, the new products for spring 2024 include the iPad Pro equipped with an OLED display and the M3 chip, as well as the new Apple Pencil 3.

As per earlier reports, Bloomberg journalist Gueraman revealed that Apple will launch a new iPad Pro/Air tablet in the second week of May.

It’s worth mentioning that it’s predicted that the new iPad Air will have a 12.9-inch version, the largest size in the series’ history.

Of course, with a significant increase in performance, the price will also rise. Reports suggest that the 12.9-inch iPad Air will be $200 more expensive, starting at $799 (approximately 5750 RMB), making it the most expensive in the Air series’ history.
