The Plus models bow out: Leaks hint at a Slim design for the iPhone 17!

Leaks Suggest iPhone 17 to Introduce Slim Model

Today, the Weibo hashtag “Revealed: iPhone 17 to Launch Slim Model” soared to the top of the trending charts, sparking attention.

Analyst Jeff Pu revealed that the iPhone 17 series would undergo a reshuffle, introducing a Slim model to replace the Plus version. The lineup will comprise four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In terms of dimensions, the iPhone 17 will feature a 6.1-inch display, the iPhone 17 Slim will sport a 6.6-inch display, the iPhone 17 Pro will come with a 6.3-inch display, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max will boast a 6.9-inch display.

This implies that the Plus model, born with the iPhone 14 series, will bid farewell to the stage of history after three generations, reminiscent of the fate of the previous mini version.

In terms of industrial design, the iPhone 17 series will still follow the Fluid Island scheme, albeit with smaller cutouts. The front camera will be upgraded to 24 million pixels.

Regarding core configurations, Apple will continue the differentiated approach of the iPhone 15 series. Only the Pro and Pro Max versions will be equipped with the top-of-the-line A19 Pro chip, while the standard and Slim models will utilize the previous generation chip.
