TrendForce Report: New iPad Pro Prices Increase, AMOLED Models Expected to Ship 4.5-5 Million Units in 2024

According to a report from TrendForce Consultancy released on May 8th, the price of the new generation iPad Pro has increased by $200 compared to the previous model. Additionally, the iPad Air has also introduced a 13-inch model simultaneously, which may potentially divert demand due to the dispersion of firepower. The consultancy estimates that the combined shipment of AMOLED iPad Pro 11-inch and 13-inch models in 2024 will range from 4.5 to 5 million units.

Further elaborating, TrendForce Consultancy points out that the shipment volume of AMOLED iPad Pros indicates a consolidation in scale compared to previous trends. However, the incorporation of AMOLED panels into the iPad Pro series signifies a new milestone in the development of AMOLED technology towards mid-sized panels. It is estimated that in 2024, the overall shipment volume of AMOLED tablets will reach around 9 million units, accounting for approximately 7% of the total tablet market.

TrendForce Consultancy believes that the next few years will be a critical period for the penetration rate of AMOLED IT products. The enhancement and optimization of technological capabilities will drive AMOLED displays towards more advanced and higher value-added product directions.
