According to reports, Apple has recently secured a patent related to charging systems. This patent allows devices to adopt a modular design with detachable batteries, enhancing their flexibility to adapt to various usage scenarios. These removable batteries include different models such as A, B, C, D, etc., with the battery core part utilizing standardized charging battery technology.

Apple is exploring a new way of battery replacement, not limited to the iPhone product line but also including iMac, Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and other devices. It is worth mentioning that in this new patent, Apple particularly emphasizes the wireless communication system function between the battery and the charging station or host, which can monitor and display the battery status in real-time and enable wireless charging.

It is noteworthy that the European Union has passed a new regulation requiring phone manufacturers to provide user-detachable and replaceable battery designs. This factor may be one of the reasons prompting Apple to consider a detachable battery design.

However, some opinions suggest that detachable batteries may impact the dust and water resistance performance of devices. This is inconsistent with the design philosophy pursued by current smartphones (especially high-end models) and may affect official after-sales services.
