Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of social media giant Meta, surprised the tech industry once again with an unexpected “collaboration.” On Instagram, he posted a photo of himself exchanging jackets with Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA.
In the photo, Zuckerberg is sporting Huang’s iconic black leather jacket, while Huang is seen wearing the brown jacket Zuckerberg wore during his previous visit to Asia. This playful interaction not only signifies a shift in Zuckerberg’s personal style but also hints at potential collaboration between Meta and NVIDIA in the field of artificial intelligence.
Observant tech enthusiasts at IT Home noticed that Zuckerberg has always been known for his simple gray t-shirts and hoodies, making this wardrobe swap a display of his more stylish side. This is not the only recent image makeover for him. Earlier this month, Zuckerberg and his wife made a stunning appearance at a pre-wedding party hosted by the Ambani family, dressed in matching black outfits designed by Alexander McQueen, showcasing a luxurious style.
In addition to clothing, Zuckerberg seems to have developed an interest in luxury watches. At the Ambani party, he openly admired Anant Ambani’s Richard Mille watch, expressing a newfound desire for a timepiece after seeing it, despite never having considered buying one before.
The exact timing of the photo of Zuckerberg and Huang, as well as the specifics of their meeting, remain unclear, with neither company providing an official response to this interaction.
However, given Zuckerberg’s ambitions to advance in the field of artificial intelligence, it is not surprising that these two tech giants are considering collaboration. During a financial earnings call last year, Zuckerberg emphasized that artificial intelligence would be Meta’s most significant investment area in terms of engineering and computing resources in 2024.
To achieve this goal, Meta has procured a substantial number of chips from NVIDIA. According to Zuckerberg, by the end of this year, Meta will possess over 340,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs for training and deploying AI models. Such a massive chip inventory gives Meta a significant advantage in the fiercely competitive AI sector. Zuckerberg stated, “We have built research and development capabilities on a scale far beyond any other company. I think many people may not have realized this yet.”
