Microsoft’s Clipchamp Introduces AI-Powered Silence Removal Feature
On April 19th, IT Home reported that Microsoft has officially launched a new feature on its video editing tool, Clipchamp. This feature, known as Silence Removal, utilizes AI to identify and filter out silent parts in audio tracks.
Clipchamp users can simply click on the AI suggestions button on the application’s toolbar. The software will automatically detect silent segments in the video, allowing users to choose whether to delete individual segments or all of them according to their needs.
According to IT Home’s reference to Microsoft’s report, this new AI feature in Clipchamp allows for swift elimination of lengthy and mundane silent portions. This is particularly beneficial for individuals looking to organize podcasts, meetings, interview videos, and voice-overs without the tedious task of manually editing out silent parts for several hours.
Clipchamp caters to Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Microsoft 365 Business Premium customers. In this recent update, it can also auto-generate subtitles for videos and even offer different language options for audio tracks.
